Director - Finance Planning and Analysis

About the Job:

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance Financial Planning and Analysis to oversee all the strategic and operational planning process of Almosafer. This role will be responsible for driving efficiency, automation and process improvements in the reporting, budgeting, and planning processes across all Almosafer’s business units. Leading a team of FP&A professionals, the FP&A Director will have a mandate to spearhead finance data governance ensuring the use of trusted data sources for reporting financial analysis across the finance department as well as safeguarding financial information throughout the organization. The role is part of the finance leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO it exposes the candidate to interacting collaboratively with other business/functional leaders, executive leadership team, as well as external adviser and investors on a regular basis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of a budgeting/forecasting solution to streamline the entire planning processes and provide enhanced reporting functionality

  • Oversee the management reporting, budgeting and planning processes, as well as drive efficiency of these processes across all business units

  • Support M&A projects by performing company valuations, due diligence and other financial analysis as requested

  • Support capital allocation decisions across the group through performance measurement

  • Partner with Digital, Data and other teams across the organization to improve the forecasting and analytics process through automation and streamlining the flow of data

  • Improve the insights provided by the finance teams from being primarily descriptive and diagnostic to include predictive and prescriptive insights

  • Prepare financial models for new and existing businesses as well as ad hoc investment projects

  • Finance data governance (own the flow of data and data sources used by all finance teams)

  • Automate standard and ad hoc management reports while promoting the use of data visualization tools across the finance department

  • Prepare benchmark analysis to improve business decisions and drive improvement across business units

  • Identify, track and apply in our strategic planning process, the micro/macro-economic indicators that impact our business

  • Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS standards

  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and risk management

  • Ensure compliance with local UAE/KSA tax regulations

  • Work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information 

 

Profile Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a finance leadership role 
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices 
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting 
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP) 
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus 
  • CFA or other relevant qualification is a plus 
  • Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software 
  • Familiarity with finance databases 
  • Up-to-date with IFRS and local UAE/KSA tax regulations 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts 
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills 
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information 
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
