About the job: 

As a Process Excellence Manager you will own the design, control, and performance of finance processes. Deliver a continuous improvement and automation portfolio with measurable benefits for overall finance.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Process design & Continuous Improvement  - Maintain versioned process flows; identify and implement improvements; co-design changes with operations and end users; scope and hand off automation with Finance Automation. Actively redesign our current workflows, many of which were built around manual processes to better leverage AI capabilities.
  • Policies & controls - Design preventive-first, risk-mapped controls (automated where possible); co-author policies and maintain the repository; run compliance monitoring; classify/escalate breaches; drive Corrective /Preventive Actions to verified closure.
  • Operational performance management - Design the operations performance management framework; define KPIs and KPI charters with division heads; agree metrics and internal SLAs; monitor performance. Identify skill gaps, improvement areas, training and L&D requirements. 
  • Performance & Control reporting - Produce the monthly Finance Operations review pack (scorecard, commentary, decisions); report on the improvement portfolio, benefits register, realization tracker, and delivery verification; maintain the deliverables calendar and report control health, breaches, and corrective actions to leadership.
  • Team leadership - Lead and develop the team, expand process support to other finance divisions in addition to finance operations. Recruit and onboard as the function grows; set objectives, give regular feedback, and hold structured 1:1s and development conversations; model evidence-based analysis, respectful engagement, and disciplined documentation; represent finance process excellence  in cross-functional forums.

Profile Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of total professional experience, with at least 1-2 years in process excellence, automation or transformation roles.

  • Experience in leading process design, control design, or continuous improvement initiatives end-to-end - from diagnosis through implementation to verified outcome.

  • Experience partnering with automation teams (RPA, workflow tools, or ERP-native automation) to scope and deliver process automation.

  •  Experience in working with operational finance experience (accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting , treasury,) is strongly preferred - the ability to speak the language of finance is a significant advantage.

  • At least 1-2 years of people management experience, or clear evidence of team leadership through matrixed / project-based roles.

  • Diagnostic mindset - able to hold judgement, ask why five times, and validate hypotheses with data before proposing solutions.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional friction - able to hold a position when the data supports it, and change position when it doesn't.

  • Coach and challenger - brings out the best in the team and the process owners they work with, without softening the standard.
