About the job:

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team, focusing on the Digital Consumer Travel experience. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of how customers book and manage a diverse range of travel products, including flights, stays, activities, and more. You will work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and other designers to turn problems and opportunities into meaningful and impactful experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, business objectives and market trends, and systems knowledge. Responsibilities:

• Identify and understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points, and use this to define opportunities and problem statements that inform the team’s work.
• Lead and support discovery activities such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover customer needs and validate opportunities.
• Work in a fast-paced team of engineers, product managers, and designers to uncover customer problems and deliver impactful solutions across multiple web and mobile platforms.
• Consider the business needs, technical constraints, data, and platform requirements in order to produce impactful and valuable solutions.
• Creatively translate opportunities into elegant, intuitive, and effective experiences that deliver customer and business value.
• Rapidly and pragmatically produce concepts and prototypes, understanding when further ideation, testing, or changing directions is needed.
• Run experiments frequently to validate your assumptions and optimize your solutions.

Profile Requirements:

• 3-5 years of product design experience within a consumer-focused organization and a proven record of successfully shipped mobile and web experiences.
• A design thinker and problem solver at heart, you consistently strive to gain a deep understanding of the customers, business, and problems you are trying to solve.
• Comfortable planning and conducting research from interviews and usability tests to surveys, and you integrate insights into your design process.
• Communication skills to tell a story about your work and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent visual design skills and are proficient in design, prototyping, and whiteboarding tools (such as Figma, Framer, Miro).
• Working with other designers and cross-functional team members, and thrive on transparency and effective communication.
• Basic knowledge and experience leveraging data and analytics to inform design decisions.
• Previous experience working in e-commerce and in evidence-driven teams is a plus.
• Experience working with and contributing to a design system is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
