About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Intelligence Specialist to join Almosafer’s Core Data Team — the critical bridge between Data Engineering and Data Intelligence.

Core Data ensures that Almosafer’s analytical ecosystem is robust, scalable, and business-ready, by designing ETL logic, maintaining documentation, exposing curated data via APIs, and ensuring stakeholder requirements are translated into high-quality engineering outputs.

The ideal candidate is a hybrid profile: part data engineer, part analyst, and part data scientist — with strong SQL and ETL skills, hands-on BI experience, and the curiosity to innovate with RAG pipelines, AI agents, and predictive models.

Responsibilities

Data Architecture & ETL

  • Maintain and validate the logic of pipelines built by Data Engineering, ensuring transformations align with business rules.

  • Monitor data quality, consistency, and availability across the stack (Data Lake → Data Warehouse → Data Marts) for the Data Intelligence team.

  • Act as the quality gatekeeper, making sure Core Data outputs are always reliable and business-ready.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to address issues and enhance pipeline efficiency when needed.

Documentation & Standards

  • Own and maintain business and technical documentation for Core Data tables.

  • Define column-level business rules and data quality checks.

  • Support lineage and metadata tracking for critical datasets (transactional, OMS, Salesforce, GA4, SAP).

 

APIs & Data Access

  • Work with engineering to expose curated datasets via REST and GraphQL APIs.

  • Enable downstream consumers (Data Intelligence, product, external systems) with API-first design.

  • Monitor and document API performance, access, and governance.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the bridge between Data Intelligence and Data Engineering, ensuring requirements are clearly scoped and delivered.

  • Proactively align with BI and commercial analysts to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable Core Data solutions.

Analytics & BI Enablement

  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards to monitor Data usage, data quality, and pipeline health.

  • Enable self-service data models and support Data Intelligence analysts in their workflows.

AI/LLM Innovation

  • Contribute to Almosafer’s AI-driven analytics initiatives by building and experimenting with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines

  • Design and maintain embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval strategies for Core Data use cases.

  • Develop agents using LangChain, LangGraph or Llamaindex, with a primary focus on Text-to-SQL query generation.

  • Explore broader applications of RAG agents (e.g., schema exploration, categorization, or NLP enrichment) as the ecosystem evolves.

Data Science & Predictive Models

  • Partner with Data Intelligence on predictive and advanced analytics use cases such as booking forecasts, booking pattern detection, categorization jobs, and NLP-driven text analysis.

  • Build and deploy machine learning models (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Boosting algorithms, Keras, PyTorch) for business impact.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data engineering.

  • Strong SQL and ETL design skills (Hive, Spark, Athena, or equivalent).

  • Experience working with data lake, data warehouse, and data mart architectures.

  • Proficiency with Tableau (or Power BI/Looker) for dashboards and storytelling.

  • Familiarity with REST and GraphQL API design and integration.

  • Experience with Python for data processing, APIs, and machine learning.

  • Hands-on exposure to LangChain / LangGraph, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.

  • Knowledge of predictive modeling, categorization, and NLP techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.

  • Familiarity with big data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
